January to March

König & Cie. moves into new offices

++ In January, König & Cie. moved into new offices in the Hanse Forum at Axel-Springer- Platz 3 in Hamburg. The move became necessary because of the Company's growth. Now König & Cie. GmbH & Co. KG as well as König & Cie. Treuhand GmbH are located under one roof. www.emissionshaus.com

Entry into a new assets class: »Mezzanine-Oppor - tunity US I«

++ Once again, König & Cie. unveils a new arrival on the market of closed-end funds, this time from the world of institutional investors: the closed-end fund concept »Mezzanine-Opportunity US I«. Investors can utilise the umbrella fund concept to invest in the segment of commercial real estate mezzanine loans with the managers Babson Capital and RREEF and in the sector of commercial rental residence construction with the manager Cornerstone. These are two highly attractive and secure segments of the commercial US real estate market.

Scorship Tankers Accepts First Ships

++ The two modern doublehull crude oil/product tankers MT »King David« and MT »King Darwin« are christened in China in February. The two Panamax tankers are the first of a total of six sister ships www.scorship.de

Product Tanker Funds

++ The series of product tanker funds begins with the two ships MT »King Ernest« and MT »King Everest«. The two ships, which are virtually iden tical, have a load capacity of approx. 37,000 tdw. They have a length of 182 metres, a beam of 27 metres and a draught of 11 metres. The ships were built by Hyundai Mipo Dockyard in Ulsan, South Korea.

April to June

König & Cie. in Austria

++ König & Cie has had new offices in the heart of Vienna since April 2007. The new premises are located at Am Heumarkt 7. Within the space of a single year, the Company has developed into one of the major players among the investment companies on the Austrian market. König & Cie. is now represented by five employees in Austria. www.koenig-cie.at

Children Sailing on the Elbe

++ More than one hundred children sail on the Elbe at the end of May as they compete for the König & Cie. Opti-Pokal (Hamburg championship) of the Mühlenberger Segel-Club e.V. (MSC). König & Cie. has been providing support for young talent at MSC in Hamburg for more than five years. The atmosphere during the regatta is high-spirited; the beaming faces of the small sailors can be seen at the following barbecue.

»International Private Equity I and II«

++ Within only a few months of its close, the fund »International Private Equity I« makes its first disbursement of 5%, a performance which is bound to please. The subsequent fund, »International Private Equity II«, is oriented to the strengths of its predecessor. The special feature of this asset class is to be found in its widespread diversification across various industries and regions, primarily in Europe and Asia.

HSH Nordbank blue race

++ In June, König & Cie. is the main sponsor of the HSH Nordbank blue race, one of the most important high seas regattas across the North Atlantic. The starting point is in Newport/Rhode Island. Tobias König and his "Grey Goose" are among the participants and reach the finish line off Cuxhaven at 10.26 am on 5 July; after 18 days of sailing, it is the third ship to arrive at the destination.

July to September

König & Cie Polo Team are German Champions

++ König & Cie. is once again a sponsor of the International German High Goal Championship in polo and is represen - ted in the competition by its own team. On the weekend of the final in August, the König & Cie. team claims the championship with a 9-6 victory over the team from Lanson. Eight teams featuring players of high-class international sta - tus fought for the cup victory in Europe's oldest polo club in Hamburg-Klein Flottbeck. www.poloevents.com

The Two Biggest

++ In July and September, the two largest container ships ever included in the König & Cie. fleet are christened in Korea. They are called MS »Stadt Köln« and MS »Stadt Aachen«. The sister ships are each 222.50 metres long and have a beam of 32.20 metres. They have a capacity of 3,400 TEU and a draught of up to 12.00 metres. Both of the ships were built by Hanjin Heavy Industries & Construction Co., Ltd., in Busan, South Korea. They are managed by the Hamburg shipping company Thien & Heyenga.

FondsMedia Gives Top Marks to König & Cie.

++ König & Cie. achieves an excellent result in the performance record analysis of the rating company FondsMedia. The experienced market experts of the analysing company write: "Including the liquidity reserves, the return on equity for ship investors at König & Cie. of 19% pa represents an absolute record." They continue: "Constantly observing the corporate development of König & Cie. is really fun and is good for the market for closed-end funds as a whole. The market needs ambitious teams with the will and the necessary stamina to realise good results for investors." www.fondsmedia.de

++ At the end of the fourth quarter, all of the König & Cie. ship funds have been fully placed ahead of schedule. "We are delighted by the tremendous demand for our products and will continue to maintain our product quality at this high level or even raise it to a high - er plane," says Klaus Fickert, managing partner and head of Sales.

Marenave Schiffahrts AG

++ Marenave Schiffahrts AG brings its first full year of busi ness to a close on 31 December 2007. As of this date, there are seven units in the fleet. It includes two container ships alongside five modern double-hull crude oil and pro - duct tankers of various size classes. Marenave Schiffahrts AG was established by König & Cie. and the HSH Nordbank in November 2006 and is the first ship investment stock corporation in Germany to be listed on the stock exchange. www.marenave.com

Most Successful Year in the Company's History

++ 2007 has turned out to be the most successful year in the corporate history of König & Cie. The Company set a record by placing just under €300 million in equity in 2007. All of the employees in the Company contributed to this outstanding performance. The success is both reward and incentive to continue this development and introduce even more transparent and high-quality products on the market.

Sailing with König & Cie.

++ Sailing enthusiasts among the König & Cie. staff have good reason to be happy: during the coming year, they will sail in various regattas on the North and Baltic Seas on board the company ship "König & Cie." – an X-41. The competitions include the World Cup in Copenhagen.
