El Paso Corporation Receives Conditional BLM Right-of-Way Grant for Ruby Pipeline

This week El Paso Corporation announced that it has received a Bureau of Land Management (BLM) right-of-way grant for its Ruby Pipeline project. The grant is subject to final completion of cultural treatment plans and related agreements on federal lands along Rubys 680-mile route.

Charleston’s May volume climbs 22 per cent, 77 million US-Dollar in upgrades

Charleston’s May container volume climbed more than 22 per cent year-over-year with 68,238 pier containers handled and was even with the previous month. That followed four consecutive months of year-over-year growth.

Fourth consecutive quarter of GDP growth in the OECD area

Gross domestic product (GDP) in the OECD area rose by 0.7% in the first quarter of 2010. It is the fourth consecutive quarter of growth for the area. Strong GDP growth continued in the United States (0.8%) and Japan (1.2%).
