Gemini Tankers Suezmax Pool set for expansion, Diamond Shipping Group added to the mix

Wednesday, 08 February 2012 Teekay Corporation and König & Cie. are pleased to announce that Diamond S Shipping Group has joined the Gemini Tankers Suezmax Pool as a full member. The Gemini fleet currently has 17 modern Suezmax vessels. This is expected to grow to 26 vessels by the end of 2012 as vessels redeliver from time-charters and Diamond S’ eight additional newbuildings are added to the Pool.

GIP, Fluxys in JV for Transitgas AG

Friday, 20 January 2012 Global Infrastructure Partners ("GIP"), independent 5.64 billion US-Dollar investment fund and target fund of König & Cie. "Infrastructure International I", and Belgian natural gas transport company Fluxys G today announced a joint venture under which GIP will acquire from Fluxys a 44.9% equity interest in Fluxys Switzerland. The transaction is expected to close following clearance from the European Commission regulatory authority.

Friday, 23 December 2011 Through improved energy efficiency, waste handling, process improvements and other initiatives, private equity portfolio companies joining KKR's Green Portfolio Program cumulatively have avoided approximately 365 million US-Dollar in operating costs, over 810,000 metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions, 2.2 million tons of waste, and saved 300 million liters of water since 2008.

Heliatek achieves new world record for organic solar cells - 9.8% cell efficiency

Heliatek GmbH has set a new world record for organic solar cells. Fraunhofer ISE CalLab certified a cell efficiency of 9.8% for a 1.1 cm² tandem cell manufactured with a low temperature deposition process.
